❓Do you have a degree in science? ❓Are you looking for opportunities in chemistry and/or forestry? ❓Are you passionate about research? 🎯 Then you might have the right profile to apply for a doctoral position in chemical ecology!
In line with the NRRP’s specific objectives of environmental sustainability, economic resilience, and scientific innovation, Eco Research is co-funding a PhD scholarship at the Free University of Bozen/Bolzano for a study on the European spruce beetle (Ips typographus). This beetle is responsible for the devastation of spruce forests in recent years, causing significant ecological imbalances. Through a chemical ecology approach, the dynamics of bark beetle populations will be examined in order to arrive at a mitigation of infestations and promote forest conservation.
